Sand Art

While walking the length of Stone Harbor Point today, trying (in vain) to relocate one of the Snowy Owls that's been spending the winter in the area, I came across some wonderful examples of natural "abstract art". These wind and water created ripples and patterns stopped me in my tracks -- and helped to soften the blow of an owl-free afternoon.

  1. I love sand art! I'm always drawn to the never-ending variety of designs and patterns. Hope you finally found your Snowy. We got ours at Brig NWR, got great views through the scope, got a couple of decent photos, and shared the joy of our scope with lots of folks who were jogging with no binoculars. They were so excited to see it, and so were we.
